Why do we want a wedding video?
Imagine if you could watch a video of your parent's or even grandparent's wedding day. Imagine being able to experience that day, see the people, hear their vows, another era and time that you couldn't possibly see any other way. It sounds a bit corny, but really how amazing would that be?

Imagine seeing YOUR day from a whole other perspective. Being in the room to watch a nervous husband to be, see for yourself the transformation of a bride, the guests who have travelled to be there, the family members who may not be there in the years to come. And beyond that still, imagine watching your whole day as a beautiful montage showing the colours, life, music and atmosphere - it's nearly better than being there! Do you do photography as well?
No. Photography and video of your wedding day both offer different perspectives. However, photographers and videographers work in completely different ways to get their shots. We feel that to try and do both would make your photos and your video suffer in quality. Instead, we have great relationships with most photographers in the region and work around and with them to ensure we all get the best results for you on the day.
What kind of cameras do you use?
We use a combination of large chip video cameras and DSLR. Both are great to use in different situations so it means we can get the best shots using the right equipment for the environment.

Do you charge for travel?
We don't charge travel for weddings in Queenstown, Wanaka, Cromwell or Southland. We frequently travel to Lake Tekapo, Mt Cook, Dunedin and will happily travel further afield if needed. Ask about travel rates to these areas.
You've convinced us. How do we book?
To confirm your wedding date we need to to complete our booking form along with a $500 non-refundable booking fee (deductible from the full package price) The balance is payable two weeks before your wedding date. January - April are especially busy months for us. Many couples book a year in advance so it's a good idea to book and secure your date as soon as you can - even if you decide on your package option later on. Contact us for a package list and booking form.
What format will our video be in?
We film in High Definition 1920 x 1080 and as such recommend you get your final film as an HD file (.mov or mp4) to show this off to best effect. The file wil play on your computer, some digital tvs and tablet devices. It rocks on an iPad.
If you prefer you can choose your final video to be delivered as an all-region PAL DVD (conversions to NTSC on request). It's up to you.
Do we get raw footage?
In our experience raw footage is useless to most people and includes cameras moving around, changing angles, focussing etc. We carefully select and include all the best shots from the footage so your edited Wedding Film will tell the story of your day. This will be the version of you and your friends will want to watch and remember it by. If there are specific people or scenes you would really like included, talk to us beforehand and we'll do our best to capture them at their best.

But just in case you do want more, we do offer an add-on option of selected out-takes and extras.
How long till we get our video?
You'll receive your video between 3-16 weeks after your wedding date depending on the season. After the day filming we spend a lot of man hours editing and crafting your footage to make it something really special. It's worth the wait for the end result! We'll keep you updated along the way so you know when to expect it. If you need it sooner, please ask and depending on the time of year, we'll do our best to accommodate you. We will send your final disc by standard post free of charge anywhere in the world. If you would like it couriered, just let us know and we can arrange that for you too.
How many copies do we get?
Your HD digital file comes on disc in a special handmade presentation folio which you are welcome to copy and distribute to your friends and family. If you choose the DVD option, it will also come in a handmade presentation folio along with two extra copies.

We put off watching it for a couple of weeks... but we were so stoked with it when we did watch it. We really love it. The music you have picked from our suggestions works really well and you have captured the fun and the sentiment of the day perfectly. We sent a copy to my folks and they loved it too. Dad was amazed at the footage as he didn't even notice that you had two cameras there thought it was great that he didn't notice the intrusion of video cameras at all during the day.

My favourite bits included: the guys jumping in the lake before the wedding, the LOVE song, with it cutting between the ceremony version and the practice version, hearing the piper (I don't think I really listened to him on the day I was so wound up!) the cycle into the reception, watching our first dance and so many more great scenes you captured.
